Session Format

Client will reach out by email, through the contact page, or phone to Therapist with availability or to request a free 10 minute consultation to see if this is the right fit.

Initial intake sessions will typically 53-60 minutes to complete a bio-psychosocial and gather any necessary personal information to formulate a preliminary treatment plan including personal goals and objectives. Once client has decided to continue with therapist, both will review the following necessary intake forms;

  1. Practice policies- including clear rules around scheduling, cancellation fee/ late cancellation fees, confidentiality and preferred communication methods
  2. Informed consent- outlining the client’s consent to be treated including the rights of the client and therapist
  3. Treatment plan- general outline and preliminary goals for treatment
  4. Billing or invoice forms- deciding on preferred payment, out of network payment guidelines or insurance payment guidelines

Each subsequent psychotherapy session will last for 45-53 minute sessions. Sessions typically occur weekly or bi-weekly depending on need or the client’s preference.
